Veena Malik is scheduled on making a comeback in the entertainment industry with a new Urduflix web-series. According to reports, Malik has priorly turned down a number of drama screenplays and reality shows in the hopes of landing a strong comeback project.
She finally settled on an agreement with Dr Muhammad Younas Butt of Hum Sab Umeed Say Hain for an OTT platform. “We’ve been talking about collaborating for a while,” Malik said, adding that she is currently working on a few other projects.
She categorized the show as a “sociopolitical satire” in which “social issues would be tackled in a lighthearted manner alongside politics.”
Urduflix has been producing shows featuring Pakistani superstars, however not all of them are actors. Cricketer Fawad Alam will make his platform debut in a series, stylist Frieha Altaf will play an evil midwife in her series. Aagha Ali has announced that his debut film on the platform will be directed by him.
