1. Signature Studio has been Dubai’s go-to multi-brand boutique for 14 years. Looking back, what has been the most defining moment of this journey?

The moment Signature Studio became a cultural platform. Our Ramadan and Eid exhibitions transformed us from a boutique into a vibrant platform, uniting designers and communities to celebrate Pakistani artistry on a global stage.

2. The two of you are partners in life and business—what’s the secret to keeping that balance strong and successful?

Trust, respect, and humor. We understand that each of us brings something different to the table, and instead of competing, we complement. At home, we are partners in life; at work, we are partners in vision. Keeping those boundaries clear has been the key.

3. How do you divide your roles at Signature Studio? Do your strengths complement each other naturally, or did it take time to find that rhythm?

It took us some time to find our rhythm, but now it feels very natural. Anna leads with creativity, curation, and a deep understanding of design, while Shoaib focuses on strategy, structure, and the role of technology in scaling the business. Together, those strengths complement each other beautifully—one shapes the vision, the other builds the foundation. It’s this balance that makes us a strong team.

4. In your eyes, what makes Pakistani fashion so special and relevant to an international audience like Dubai?

Pakistani fashion stands out because of its heritage and craftsmanship—handwork that’s been passed down for generations and isn’t easy to replicate. In Dubai, a city where cultures converge, this blend of tradition and modernity feels especially relevant and deeply appreciated.

5. The Ramadan Edition Exhibition was a massive success—how did it set the tone for your upcoming September 6th exhibition?

It gave us confidence that our community is hungry for experiences that go beyond shopping. People want culture, connection, and celebration. That energy has fueled the Festive Edition, which will be even bigger, bolder, and more inclusive.

6. What can people expect this time—any surprises, designer debuts, or special experiences?

Expect glamour, new designer debuts, exclusive jewelry and homeware, and an immersive experience. Celebrity appearances and our signature buzz will make it unforgettable.

7. Many Pakistani expats in Dubai see Signature Studio as a cultural anchor. How does that responsibility inspire and challenge you?

It’s humbling. We know people look to us to feel closer to home, and that keeps us grounded. The challenge is to constantly evolve while still honoring tradition—and that’s a balance we strive to perfect every season.

8. How do you both stay inspired and keep Signature Studio ahead in such a competitive fashion landscape?

By listening. To our designers, to our customers, and to the cultural pulse around us. We travel, observe, and bring back fresh ideas, but our biggest inspiration is the community itself—their trust pushes us forward.

Up-close with Anna Shoaib

9. You’re an IVS graduate in Textile Design. How does your design background influence the curation at Signature Studio?

It helps me see beyond the surface. I notice the details—the weave, the stitch, the silhouette. That background ensures that what we curate is not just beautiful, but also well-crafted and relevant.

10. As a mother and entrepreneur, what lessons do you hope your daughters take from watching you lead?

I want them to know that women can build empires while raising families. That you can be strong yet compassionate, ambitious yet grounded. Most importantly, that dreams are achievable if you work hard and stay true to yourself.

11. What excites you most about South Asian fashion right now? Any trends you’re loving?

I love the fusion—where traditional craft meets modern cuts. The rise of versatile co-ord sets, sustainable fabrics, and contemporary bridal silhouettes excites me. It shows that our designers are evolving with the times.

12. How do you balance being creative and business-focused at the same time?

It’s not always easy, but creativity and business aren’t opposites—they’re partners. I let creativity lead, but I use business sense to make it sustainable. Shoaib keeps me in check whenever I dream too wildly.

Up-close with Shoaib Gill

13. You’ve worked with global giants like Microsoft, LG, and Samsung. How did those experiences prepare you for the fashion business?

Those roles taught me structure, systems, and scale. They gave me a global perspective on branding, customer behavior, and growth. Bringing that mindset to fashion has helped us build Signature Studio as a prominent brand.

14. As a strategist, what’s your vision for taking Pakistani fashion even further in Dubai and the Middle East?

I want to grow and scale this platform for our designers—giving them more opportunities to showcase their craft. For our customers, the goal is to create richer cultural experiences that don’t just offer clothes, but a true taste of Pakistan’s heritage and artistry.

15. What role do exhibitions play in shaping brand identity versus in-store experiences?

Exhibitions ignite excitement and community, crafting unforgettable moments. Stores nurture loyalty and consistency, forming the heartbeat of our brand’s identity.

16. If you could describe Signature Studio’s brand philosophy in one line, what would it be?

Celebrating culture, empowering designers, and inspiring individuality.

17. Looking forward, where do you see Signature Studio in the next 5 years?

We see Signature Studio expanding into new markets, creating larger cultural experiences, and becoming the definitive platform for South Asian fashion globally.

18. If you weren’t doing fashion, what’s the one career path each of you might have chosen?

Anna: Probably interior design or something equally creative.
Shoaib: I love Entrepreneurship and I would still be building and scaling a business.

19. Quick one: Describe each other in three words—both as a partner and as a professional.

Anna on Shoaib:

Partner—dependable, thoughtful, witty. Professional—strategic, visionary, disciplined.

Shoaib on Anna:

Partner—loving, resilient, inspiring. Professional—creative, determined, fearless.

20. Finally, what message do you want to share with the community ahead of your exhibition on September 6th

Come not just to shop, but to celebrate. Celebrate fashion, culture, and community. This Festive Edition is about all of us coming together to create memories—and we can’t wait to welcome you.
